Opening an Illinois Funds Account

The Illinois Funds is a pooled investment option that helps local governments earn competitive returns. However, only Public Agencies (i.e., State agencies, counties, municipalities, and units of local government) are eligible to participate in the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer’s Illinois Public Treasurers Investment Pool (“Illinois Funds”) pursuant to 15 ILCS 505/17.
